Campus Administration

Mrs. Lumsden has been the Principal of Hilltop Elementary since Fall of 2020. Mrs. Lumsden joined Argyle ISD in 2018 and served as an Argyle Middle School Assistant Principal for two years before becoming the Hilltop Principal.

Before joining Argyle ISD, she served in Lake Dallas ISD from 2004-2018 and was promoted to Lake Dallas High School Assistant Principal in 2015 and held this position for three years. During her career, Mrs. Lumsden has served as a Math Teacher at the Middle and High school levels, Academic Advisor and led the Counseling & Advising Department at LDHS. She was named the Lake Dallas ISD Secondary Teacher of the Year in 2009-2010.

I have been fortunate enough to have spent my entire educational career at Argyle Middle School. As I have watched AMS grow in many different ways, I am amazed at the accomplishments our students and educators have continually achieved in academics, athletics, fine arts, and the many great clubs and organizations on our campus. As we embark on a new school year, one of my main goals is to make sure every student and staff member feels welcome and has a place to thrive. I am looking forward to playing my part in the continued success of the AMS Eagles!

I was born and raised in Southern California, but left for Texas in 2000 and never looked back!

I am so proud to be an Argyle Eagle. I was hired in January of 2021 to be an Assistant Principal at AMS. Prior to becoming an Eagle, I was coaching volleyball and teaching World Geography at Guyer High School and Lake Dallas High School for 16 years. While my teaching certificate was focused on Social Studies, my true passion is instructional coaching. ��I truly believe that when teachers and administration collaborate on the best teaching strategies and learning practices, ALL of our students are set up for success.
