Campus Administration

Argyle Middle School is a place where students grow not just academically, but as people—and I’m proud to help guide that journey. With two decades in education, I’ve learned that strong relationships are the foundation of a great school. At AMS, we prioritize student success, character development, and meaningful partnerships with families. I’m honored to lead a campus where educators are all-in for kids, every single day.

I joined Argyle ISD in 2018 as Assistant Principal at Argyle Middle School and became Principal of Hilltop Elementary in 2020. After several successful years at Hilltop, I returned to AMS as Principal.

Before coming to Argyle, I served in Lake Dallas ISD from 2004 to 2018, including a promotion to Assistant Principal at Lake Dallas High School in 2015. Earlier roles included teaching middle and high school math, advising students, and leading the Counseling and Advising Department.

I have been fortunate enough to have spent my entire educational career at Argyle Middle School. As I have watched AMS grow in many different ways, I am amazed at the accomplishments our students and educators have continually achieved in academics, athletics, fine arts, and the many great clubs and organizations on our campus. As we embark on a new school year, one of my main goals is to make sure every student and staff member feels welcome and has a place to thrive. I am looking forward to playing my part in the continued success of the AMS Eagles!

I'm Laura Rizvi, and I’m excited to be part of the Argyle Middle School team.

I grew up in H-E-B ISD and earned my bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University, followed by a master's in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington.

I began my teaching career in Irving ISD, where I spent several years in elementary education, then continued in Keller ISD as a 1st grade teacher and later as an Assessment Administrator. Most recently, I served as the EBL teacher at Argyle South, where I had the opportunity to teach alongside my own children.

It is an honor to support the students, staff, and families of Argyle Middle School. I look forward to contributing to a strong and supportive learning environment.
